Bridal Shows

What an amazing creation - the Bridal Show!!!  It's almost a one stop shop for all your wedding needs! We are big fans!!

Things to consider about Bridal Shows....

1. The personalities of the vendors.  Sadly, not all vendors have a 'people-lovin' personality'. If you don't feel comfortable and welcome with them when you are at their booth...no matter their amazing deal - you are not going to feel comfortable working with them.

2. Shows are a great way to get a deal!  Most vendors at a Bridal Show will offer 'show specials' that are only valid if you were at the show. Not to mention, most vendors will price hold, which means you can book now at their 2013 show special rate for your 2014 wedding!!!

3. Freebies!!  Hellllooooo, who does not LOVE freebies! Everything from cake samples, to candy buffet treats, photo booth pictures...and the PRIZES!! Most shows offer door prizes and grand prizes, and most vendors offer prizes right at their booth (usually one of their services)

4. Use caution when entering draws at vendors booths....it is unfortunate that some prizes come with 'strings attached' which may or may not be a good deal. We won a free videographer for a wedding, which was super exciting...the attached string was that we had to purchase a photgraphy package first in order to claim our prize. This can be a great deal if you haven't already booked a photographer (we had!) and if you like the photographers work and price packages.

5. Be honest with vendors.  We really are not at the show to sucker you in, most wedding professionals are in the wedding business because they truly love weddings and want to offer you the best of their services. If what they're offering is not of interest to you, just say so. (they'll still let you enter their draw!)

6. Don't make 'on the spot' decisions.  I know that you are probably shocked that I would say that....but it's easy to fall in love with an idea...then find a better idea two rows over.  Tour the show, enjoy the show, collect brochures and business cards from everyone you love, then make your decisions. By the time you have seen all the vendors, you'll know what ideas, and people you are truly in love with.  Go back and chat with them again!

7. Most of all, have fun. It's a great mother/daughter day, or a girls day out....you might even want to bring the groom...afterall it is his wedding also! (And they actually have fun too!)
